Who We Are
Health Careers Training Institute (HCTI) was founded in 2021 to help meet the high demand for Nurse Assistants in Kentucky. Since then, we have expanded our course offerings to include Phlebotomy courses. At HCTI, we help prepare students with the education and skills training to function in various healthcare roles across different healthcare settings. Our affordable, accelerated healthcare training pathways help you get the training you need to quickly enter the healthcare workforce.
HCTI prides itself on being a Minority and Woman-owned business, offering smaller class sizes and online options, as well as instructors who are dedicated to your health career success.
Michelle Young is the CEO of Health Careers Training Institute LLC known also as HCTI. Michelle is a Registered Nurse with more than 10 years of Nursing experience in various settings. Her most prized role has been Nurse Educator. She earned her Nursing degree at Jefferson Community and Technical College and her Bachelor of Science at the University of Kentucky. She is currently pursuing her Master’s of Business Administration (MBA). Michelle is also the owner of CPR Now! which is a leader in life safety/CPR training in Kentuckiana.
Michelle’s passion for healthcare education is what drives her ambition as a proprietary school owner and nurse aide instructor. Because she truly believes that these values are necessary in healthcare, she cultivates compassion, caring, respect and integrity in the students she serves. She has spent most of her professional life helping others directly and is now helping her clients tap into their potential through engaging and creative teaching styles. She runs the monthly blog “Ms. Michelle’s Monthly Motivation.”
HCTI is currently based in Louisville, KY. Michelle lives in Kentuckiana.

CNA program has two options:
CNA Traditional Classroom course - $900 (Includes Tuition, Cost of Background Check, HCTI bookbag, Course Study Guide, Loaner/New Textbooks are available at additional cost for rental/purchase. One free uniform while supplies last. The state exam fee is NOT INCLUDED.
CNA Blended/Online - $1150 2 weeks online; In-person Clinicals 1 week. The state exam fee is NOT INCLUDED.
Phlebotomy Certificate Program: $1150
(Includes tuition and application/background check costs). Textbooks are available at additional cost for rental/purchase. One free uniform while supplies last. Lab coat provided in class cost. 4 Weeks
